Picnics were part of the life of the club from the earliest years. These were privately funded or the costs were met by the club. There are no photos and few records, however the occasions remain in the memories of participants – organized bus trips to Donny Brook, Lake Eppalock, Lake Eildon and the local park etc. The excursions by bus were organized by MO. The trips were very good, although they almost stopped after some years. The desire to travel and the companionship that goes with it revived the bus trips and they are now successfully organized by RZ and ZV. The excursions are very informative and are an opportunity to get to know our new home. To be with friends and acquaintances is always pleasant and joyful. These are usually daily or two days long trips to all corners of our state and further afield. Trips have been to Qld, NSW, SA. The organisers take the time to make sure that the bus is full, snack are organized for the trip and that there is entertainment. The driver organizes the rest.

On occasions we are accompanied by an accordion player. The annual   bus trip is  to the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga where we visit the sister club Sneznik. It was good to visit and celebrate the establishment of the Sneznik club. Meeting with the members of this club with whom we have been friends is very pleasant. The bus is also taken to other clubs for concerts and festivities.
