SOCIAL LIFE AT JADRAN

At all the initial establishment of clubs, women have played an active part. They were responsible for the preparation and serving of food to workers, at dances, parties, visits, picnics sporting events and competitions, school lunches and most importantly, the cleanliness of venues. There was a need for more organization of the work, so in 1974, a Womens Group Roster was formed.

Along with all their other duties, women invested a lot of time for the Slovenian group. On many occasions they prepared and cooked at home and brought the food to the club where it was sold. This way, the takings were greater. They prepared typical Slovenian food: Draga Vadnjal made tasty donuts for many years.

As with the members of the board, so the members of the womens group, all work voluntarily and on a daily basis.
