JADRAN  MUSEUM, ARCHIVE AND EXHIBITIONS

The exhibitions were always prepared for the Slovenian Festivals, organised by the Council of Slovenian Organisations of Victoria, for the Jadran Club important anniversaries and special occasions.

The late Vida Vojvoda was in charge of the exhibitions, being the exhibitions of handcrafts, cakes and pastries – being exhibited by various participants. For the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of Jadran Club and the 25th Anniversary of Slovenian Independence the ladies in charge were: Ana Iskra, Slava Crooks, Romana Žetko and Marija Iskra.

Archive is at the moment small and documentation is held in the office cabinet.

Maria Iskra takes care of the documents and many photographs. Most of the photographs date from 1996. Many photographs are in private albums and collections.

Maria is also collecting and archiving the written and oral information, such as Mothers and Fathers of the Year, the list of the late Jadran members, which she carefully updates.  With Romana Žetko they organised the photographs of all the Committee Members and Ladies Section according to the dates.

The souvenirs and some typical Slovenian crafts are carefully stored in a display cabinet in the foyer.
