Paul has Slovenian Mother and English Father.

Paul, being fluent in Slovenian language as well, has since he was little, participated in Slovenian cultural programs singing, and playing piano and viola, as well as reading poetry and narrative text.

Paul’s studies, and as a surgeon:

Paul is an Otolaryngologist, head and neck surgeon with fellowship training in Laryngology.
He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and surgery with honours at Melbourne University in 2003.
In 2013 he completed his specialty training in Otolaryngology, head and neck surgery through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
He recently completed a 1 year fellowship in Laryngology at Harvard University in Boston under the guidance of Associate Professor Ramon Franco, MD and Phillip Song MD. He gained expertise in all aspects of laryngology including swallowing, airway and voice disorders, operative and office-based treatments, and the use of established and novel techniques.
He also has a keen interest in public health and research, having completed a Masters of Public Health at Melbourne University in 2010, and a post-graduate diploma of Anatomy in 2006. He is currently principle investigator in a number of clinical trials in the fields of ENT and laryngology specifically.
Paul is a keen musician having completed his A.mus.A in both piano and viola in 1995 and 1997 respectively. He has been involved in numerous chamber and orchestral groups over the last 20 years including the Melbourne Youth Orchestra and Corpus Medicorum. He is also a keen amateur singer, having performed with groups such as The Melbourne Chorale and the Ashton Smith Singers in his earlier years.
He currently holds public appointments at Monash and Alfred Health, and is excited to be the newest member of the MVAC team. Paul is also currently the Victorian representative on the Board of the Laryngology Society of Australasia.
His interests include the professional voice, swallowing and airway disorders, and office based procedures. It goes without saying that he has a passion for music in all its forms.
